Our Team

Silvia is the practice principal dentist at Pioneer Health Dental and has been practicing dentistry since 1998. She has been a dentist in Albany since 2007.

Silvia has a strong belief in keeping up to date with modern medicine and is a great communicator. She loves her patients and gets great pleasure from creating great smiles.

Silvia was born in Italy and grew up in South Africa. She is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand and in addition to her dental degree has a postgraduate science degree.

Silvia has completed too many courses to list here but aside from general dentistry she has a special interest in Sleep Medicine and Implant Dentistry.

Aside from spending time with her family and dogs, Silvia’s passion is dentistry. 

Silvia works five days a week.

Jessica is originally from New Zealand and graduated with her Bachelor of Dental from the University of Otago in 2012. She has worked in both public and private practice, completing two years as a house surgeon in a fast paced hospital environment, prior to entering private practice.

She enjoys all aspects of dental surgery, with a particular preference for anterior restorative work to enhance the aesthetics of the smile and also dental extractions. Having worked at the practice since late 2016, she has enjoyed getting to know her patients. Outside of dentistry, Jessica enjoys spending time with her young family. She has two young children and can often be found with them in tow, along one of the many scenic walks Albany has to offer. She is also a keen cyclist and enjoys anything that can keep her fit, provide a challenge, and let her experience the outdoors.

Jessica works Monday to Wednesday at our Albany practice.

Rebecca graduated in 1992 from the University of Western Australia and has worked in several dental practices in Perth. 

She set up her own dental practice in 2013 in Esperance and lived there for 10 years. 

Now she has relocated to Albany! 

Rebecca has a particular interest in treating anxious patients and any type of general dentistry. 

She has an adult daughter who lives in Perth and enjoys bushwalking for recreation and exploring the beautiful region that surrounds Albany. 

Born in Perth, Tristan graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Doctor of Dental Medicine, before moving to Albany to begin his professional career.

Tristan enjoys all aspects of the profession with a special interest in emergency dental and dental extractions. He is a strong believer in planning for the future and aims to provide patients with long-term outcomes by applying evidence-based dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Tristan enjoys weightlifting, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, travel and cooking.

Tristan works Monday to Friday and is happy to work with both children and adults. 

Sarah completed her post-graduate Doctor of Dental Medicine degree locally from the University of Western Australia after relocating to WA from Toronto, Canada. She is registered with the AHPRA Dental Board and is a member of the Australian Dental Association.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a keen eye for detail. She is passionate about building strong rapport with her patients and creating an enjoyable experience for them. She has a friendly and gentle personality, and always has her patients best interest in mind.

Outside her time in the clinic, Sarah enjoys getting outside for a run or learning new recipes in the kitchen! She loves spending time at the beaches rather than back in the snow.

Chris graduated from The University of Western Australia with a Doctor of Dental Medicine. Prior to dentistry he completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours and taught Physiology at UWA.

He enjoys practising general dentistry and providing all aspects of care. He says the best part of his job is building good relationships with his patients so they feel at ease. He provides a high standard of care with an emphasis on the patient’s priorities.

Chris is registered with the AHPRA Dental Board and is a member of the Australian Dental Association. He participates in continual professional development to ensure his treatment is based on the latest research.

Outside of dentistry Chris enjoys fishing, running, swimming, and Seinfeld reruns. He’s also still waiting for the Dockers to win a premiership.

Ben graduated with a post-graduate Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The University of Western Australia. Prior to this, Ben attained a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, majoring in Medical Science. 

Ben loves all aspects of dentistry but achieving long term and sustainable results tailored to the patients priorities is always his goal with every patient. Ben is currently registered with AHPRA and a member of the Australian Dental Association. He pursues further education to ensure all his treatment is up to date and based on the best available research. 

Outside of dentistry Ben enjoys going to the gym, swimming, spearfishing, and playing Pokemon.

Katie graduated from Curtin University in 2001 and worked in London alongside the well-known periodontist Dr JB Keiser in 2004.

In her free time, she enjoys taking trips to some of our beautiful Albany beaches, having a BBQ, spending quality time with her family and dancing!

You can find Katie in the clinic on Mondays, Thursdays and alternating Wednesdays.

Devon grew up in Albany and moved to Perth to study at Curtin University, where she completed her Bachelors degree as an Oral Health Therapist in 2022. Excitingly, she has relocated back to Albany this year to start her career at Pioneer Dental.

In Devon’s free time, she enjoys weekend camping trips, walking her dogs and having a dip at the beach.

Devon currently works in our clinic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
